Keeping the environment under review

One of the UN Environment Programme's key roles is gathering and sharing new science and knowledge. Emerging date and trends are important to catch early so that stakeholders can set the right policies and take decisions in time. By keeping the environment under review, the UN Environment Programme seeks to enhance countries' capacity to access, analyze, use, and communicate information so that nature gets the chance to survive and thrive.

UNEP's Global Environment Outlook (GEO) reports gather the latest science to identify trends in our natural environment, thus helping to spread awareness and guide remedial interventions.
